ARCHIVE ASSEMBLY is an archiving and digitizing service I offer to folks in the New York City area. Digitizing your collection is a great way to preserve it and access it in the future.

I offer digitizing and an archiving service for important documents, art work, journals, family photos, film negatives, photo slides, home videos, your personal movie and music collections.  All files are transferred onto a flash drive for you to access on your computer, or I can upload your files onto the digital storage option of your choice.

See below for the media formats I am able to digitize. Additionally, I can input your records, tapes, and CDs on Discogs or Ebay. I also offer scanning services of books for professors and academics. My service is a great gift for a friend or loved one who has a collection collecting dust.

Client Testimonials

I needed thousands of pictures to be digitized. More than 40 years of memories in albums and tin boxes. I called Emma and explained that my pics were all over the place on sticky albums and tin boxes. She explained her working methods and cost. Emma is very available. She picked up and delivered and kept me abreast of status of the work. She worked with little indications to label the photos as most of them were randomly organized and had no captions or captions in French!!! I would definitely recommend her. Excellent and swift service!

-Ghyslaine

I hired Emma to transfer and organize over fifty VHS and mini DV camcorder tapes containing a mixture of priceless family and career related memories onto a thumb drive for my Mac computer. Emma listened to my concerns, my fears  of losing the footage, of having someone see my personal stuff, and most importantly giving over control of my precious memories. She talked about her special skill set and her experience working through similar projects while gathering information about my project. Emma was confident, easygoing and her energy was trustworthy and patient.

Emma seemed to have her finger on the pulse of the project the whole time. She would send little updates that were reassuring and informative. I remember thinking, towards the middle of the project, I can’t wait to see something and two minutes later she sent me a picture from the work that took my breath away. Emma is doing work that she is passionate about she has found a tech niche that can be extremely healing and restorative  and she is the right person to hold that space!   This is the gift you give that keeps on giving. My goal was to surprise my family for the holiday. I didn’t even make it through the first night without sharing the content of the thumb drive. My family laughed and cried for hours reminiscing. I am thankful for Emma’ and I can’t wait to share this gift.

-Isis

I hired Emma to consolidate 60-plus years of my father’s daily journal—some pages handwritten, some typed on manual typewriter and others on computer. She used software to transcribe the handwritten versions, scanned the type ones and consolidated all the files into three hard drives. She was a great at keeping me informed on where she was in the process, explaining the various software available and the pros and cons of each. She was warm and very communicative. I recommend her highly.

-Maura

Emma digitized and cataloged a collection of home videos. She was very clear about the project and the services offered. Emma genuinely was very interested in the project and made the experience engaging. It was great working with someone who clearly has passion for the details and dedication to the process.

-Robin

I hired Emma to help me organize my digital images. She moved all my desktop work to Google Drive which now works like a dream. A great person to work with, asked the right questions, made sure she understood  my needs and got what needs to be done promptly. After the first pass was completed there were some needed changes, Emma continued to be helpful and simply got it done. I recommended her without reservation.

-Shelley

I hired Emma for file organization and art/antiques research for my family’s art collection. Emma diligently looked through boxes of papers and thoughtfully sorted them, taking care to set aside any papers I needed to look over. She did thorough market research for particular pieces and provided me clear options for what to do with the pieces. Emma is a joy to work with! She's diligent, thorough, thoughtful and reliable!

-Timothy

I can attest to Emma’s fantastic, thorough, and very responsive work. I've needed a number of book chapters scanned for several courses I'm teaching, and Emma has made sure this happened reliably, quickly, and in great communication. Highly recommended!
